Sunday, September 5th, 2010 at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center in Marion Illinois, the War will begin! SIMMA Porudly Presents: Subwars II "The Ultimate Grappler" This high octane tournament will feature some of the best grapplers the Midwest has to offer! This No Rank Abu Dahbi Style Tournament will feature Martial Artists of varying styles, from Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Sambo and many more, all competing in 4 weight classes to decide who is, the Ultimate Grappler! Our first Tournament was a great success, but this time around we are pulling out the stops, by offering $1000 to the winners of EACH WEIGHT CLASS!
“SubWars” was conceived in late 2009 by Mike Ben Avi of SI Mixed Martial Arts with the thought of bringing multiple disciplines together to crown the ultimate grappler. The inaugural “SubWars” was held January 3, 2010 at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center. The contest featured multiple disciplines such as: Judo, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Sambo and traditional wrestling. Sixty competitors from five states came together to vie for the crown.
The family-friendly event combined the glitz and glamour of a show with the respect and tradition of the martial arts. Combatants competed in three weight classes (lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight) in two divisions (traditional Gi and No Gi).
These ultimate grapplers put it all on the line for a shot at a championship belt and a monetary award.

Combined Martial Arts
CMA(Combined Martial Arts) is one of the largest martial arts Dojos in the southern Illinois area. We offer classes to anyone from the age of 5 to 55 and offer many classes that fit anyone’s needs whether it's for self defense and/or for professional athletes. Classes taught are: Judo, Karate Kyokushin,ne waza (judo ground), womens' cardio kickboxing and self defense.
